When I first became a speech therapist over 10 years ago, I followed the strategies I was taught—table-top drills, withholding toys, and measuring success by how well kids “used” their language. But something didn’t feel right.
I saw kids resisting, shutting down, and masking… and I realized they weren’t refusing to communicate—they were already communicating. We just weren’t listening.
That realization changed everything.
I shifted my approach to child-led, neuroaffirming therapy—an approach that respects autistic kids as they are and honors all forms of communication, from echolalia to AAC to movement. Since then, I’ve helped hundreds of families and professionals do the same, guiding them to support communication through trust, play, and connection—not pressure or control.

Our rates
The Child-Led Therapy Center is not in network with insurance; however, we do provide superbills for insurance reimbursement after each session. We accept funding from several early intervention programs in Philadelphia and the surrounding counties. If our rates are not accessible to you, but you truly need our help- please reach out to learn about our scholarship programs; we are always happy to help as much as we can.

Speech, Language, and/or AAC evaluation
Unlike traditional assessments that focus on standardized scores and rigid expectations, our evaluations are:

Parent/Professional Coaching

We are an out of network provider, meaning we do not bill insurance. However, we provide a detailed superbill at the end of each session that you can submit to your health insurance plan for reimbursement dependent on your specific plan’s terms and conditions.
